Nortel’s CDMA slice of business is what would have strenghtened Nokia Siemens Networks foothold in the North American market, where they have been falling far behind the competition.
How much of a political disaster would it have been for the Canadians to allow a Nokia Siemens Networks successful bid?
Nortel dismantling and its piece-by-piece sale would have been a great show to watch, had it not have been for RIM (Blackberry) slacking off in submission of their compliance leg work and being barred from bidding as a result, but as it turned out another colorful bidder kept the show rolling, much to some investors amusement.
Nokia Siemens Networks  made international headlines earlier last month after the events that followed the Iranian Presidential elections on June 12.
